KaYoTom Official FAQ

Q: No monthly fees?

A: 100% NO — There are no monthly/annual fees or hidden contracts. A dedicated SIM card is pre-installed in every device, providing lifetime free communication services right out of the box.

Q: What’s the communication range?

A: Unlimited range. Powered by global LTE cellular networks, our radios deliver crystal-clear, lag-free talk across cities, states, and even countries — wherever there is cellular signal coverage.

Q: What is the difference between it and a mobile phone?

A:

  1. Instantaneity: It features professional PTT (Push-to-Talk) functionality, requiring zero dialing or waiting for a connection.

  2. Multi-network Coverage: Unlike mobile phones that are usually locked to a single carrier, KaYoTom can automatically access networks from all major carriers to ensure the best signal.

  3. Security: It utilizes AES encryption, making your calls impervious to eavesdropping. Furthermore, no user data is ever stored, ensuring total privacy.

Q: Will it still work if cell towers fail?

A: KaYoTom radios are unique because they are not dependent on a single carrier. The built-in SIM card connects to all major cellular networks. If one carrier's tower malfunctions, the device will automatically switch to other available networks to keep you connected.

Q: Is it easy for the elderly or children to use?

A: Extremely simple. It is a true "plug-and-play" device. All programming and configuration are completed at our factory before shipment. Users simply need to power it on and push the button to talk.

Q: Can more devices be added to the talkgroup later?

A: Yes! You can purchase and add any model of KaYoTom radios to your talkgroup at any time. All our models are designed to connect seamlessly to your existing talkgroup.

Q: Does it work without a cellular network?

A: Yes. For our hybrid models (like the D10), you can switch to UHF/VHF mode when working in areas with no signal (such as deep basements or remote mountains) to communicate via traditional radio frequencies.

Q: Can it talk to my analog walkie talkies?

A: Yes. When using the UHF/VHF mode on our hybrid models, you can set your KaYoTom radio to the same frequency as your existing analog walkie-talkies for seamless interoperability across your entire talkgroup.
